![]() ![]() The charge actually stems from the Index itself. I think you're getting LSE live prices these days as long as you aren't a freebie account, there definitely was a charge when I trialed it a while back. I've built my own Apple Numbers spreadsheet for dividend monitoring as I cant find anything on the market that really fits my needs.Įven though I don't do that many trades in a quarter I have ben tempted to pay for level 2 access on or ADVFN more as an educational exercise but haven't as yet. I also have a PRO subscription on uk. for charting and analysis - again I think this is great value for money (cost me about £70 for a year) but I don't pay extra for live FTSE data - I wait the 15 minute delay time. Stockmarketeye for portfolio management/tracking - for what you pay for it compared to all the other choices I looked at on the market its incredible value for money. I use the following on my iMac and MacBook and they are very stable. Despite its' name, Sharepad will run on laptops and desktops. I have found the service/help desk very responsive on the odd occasion I have contacted them. ![]() I would like them to offer a restricted version covering just funds & IT's but that isn't an option just now. Is Sharepad really necessary for an IT portfolio? My answer would be "no" but it is very useful if you are keen to look at data and / or charts. For example, you can have a chart show your buys and sells of a particular stock, view it alongside the MACD and RSI lines or whatever you choose. Stock and portfolio charts are very good, very adaptable with a lot of features which can be added if required. Currently we are easily outperforming the VLS and Sharepad has earnt its keep by keeping me focused on a very limited number of holdings which has reduced transaction costs. I track my portfolio against a Vanguard Life Strategy fund, the aim being to ascertain which is the better choice for us. You can either set up your own filters or use the supplied ones. Various filters can be applied quickly, for example list all IT's in specific sectors and rank them by performance, z-scores, discount etc. Sharepad notifies me of ex-div, div and report dates etc. Downside is the cost which is £250 a year or £25 a month. I use Sharepad which is web based and allows portfolio tracking against a myriad of indices, stocks, funds etc.
